Our holistic nurse will lead you through a guided imagery audio program by Belleruth Naparstek, a psychotherapist and pioneer in the field of guided imagery and wellness. Guided imagery is a gentle, powerful technique that focuses and directs the imagination. Participants learn breathing exercises and self-help tools to reduce stress prior to and after surgery for a smoother recuperation.
Stress Reduction Sessions
Meet with a holistic nurse to learn and practice ways to induce the relaxation response. The nurse will then teach you self-help techniques that meet your individual needs and offer ways to incorporate these techniques into your lifestyle.
Wellness Coaches at the Chambers Center for Well Being will guide you to health by setting up a foundation for growth and change based on your strengths, values and goals. Being in a coaching relationship helps you navigate health and wellness challenges that may feel insurmountable. Challenges are broken down into smaller and more manageable pieces. Coaching is not psychotherapy, but it can be therapeutic.
